Our Restaurant
Traditional methods, Modern food.
Everything we make is by hand and with care. We take traditional methods and bring a thoughtful, modern and Portland approach to our food. It's reminiscent of Japanese cuisine and takes us home with a Portland palate.

We will greet you with a gentle smile, a cozy seat, some warm bites, a delicately crafted bowl of Ramen and a delightfully balanced drink. Come and stay for awhile.

Chef Colin Yoshimoto has a long history with notable Portland restaurants including Nodoguro, Eem, Hiroshi, Nong's Khao Man Gai, Poke Mon among others. His approach to creating the menu at Toya was to pay homage to the traditional methods of cooking with a modern palate of Portland, a city he's built his community in.
Chef's go-to snack at Toya is the Tonkatsu with Mushu sauce with a POG (Passion Orange Guava) Soda.
